SMSA Adult Cooperative Training

This page contains information about sailing and boating training programs that SMSA is sponsoring in cooperation with various local organizations. If you are interested in more info please contact the Training and Education program chair, Kristi Yurko.

Note that these are programs not generally being offered by our club-members directly and may involve additional fees, but generally we have negotiated special member prices - so be sure to mention you are a SMSA member when calling to register for any classes.

SMSA has decided to make a more concerted effort in providing sailing and boating training programs for the members and the community.

Keep an eye out for additional course offerings including courses offered by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary such as the Maryland Basic Boating Course, GPS course, and RADAR course. Plans are to offer a Coastal Navigation this fall so keep that in mind for this year's planning!
