SAILING CODE OF ETHICS
This code of Conduct represents the most important ideals and guidelines to follow in order to have the most fun during your summer sailing experience.  Simply, it is an agreement by all sailors to:
  • Be cooperative, supportive, and respectful of other people and their property.
  • Participate 100% in daily activities.
  • Study and sail within the "Right of Way" rules.
  • Be considerate in success & failure, victory & defeat.
Remember that your actions, on and off the water, reflect on you and your club.
Location  Each session will be at the SMSA Clubhouse, located at 14490 Solomons Island Road, Solomons, MD
Forms
Liability Waiver & Medical Authorization Form shall be submitted prior to start of the first day of class.
These forms help to ensure the safety of participants involved in the SMSA sailing programs.  Both forms are available for download from the SMSA Jr website under 'Form Downloads'.
What to bring Parents will need to provide a lunch, sunscreen lotion, and a PFD for their campers. Students in the Kids Intro to Sailing and Beginner Dinghy Classes must bring a helmet.  Closed toed shoes are required and will get wet.  It is recommended to include a change of clothes each day.
Swimming
Each session starts with a swim test. Participants must pass this basic test in order to continue with the camp.
